What do we SEE when looking into your eyes?

Dr. Punzal sees a patient at Punzal Vision.

At Punzal Vision, we do a lot more than a quick vision check. Our series of tests include scans of your macula and optic nerve, testing your peripheral vision, and taking high quality photos of the back of your eye.

When evaluating your overall eye health, we look at the outside part of your eyes (eyelid margins, lashes, ocular surface, tear film, etc) as well as a very thorough look at the inside of your eyes (lens, optic nerve, macula, blood vessels, periphery).

In some cases, decreased vision or vision loss can be related to systemic diseases. Depending on the findings, if that is in fact the case for your vision changes, we make the appropriate referrals and keep in close contact with your Primary Care Doctor to ensure the proper course of action is being taken.

It is important to see your eye doctor AT LEAST on an annual basis. Depending on the type of diagnosis you have, it may be recommended that you are seen more frequently such as every 4-6 months.
