Interview: Marvin Agbayani

Punzal Vision Team Member, Marvin. Agbayani

Where were you born and raised?

I was born and raised on the beautiful island of Kauai. I reside in Kapaa on the East Side of the Island.

What high school or college did you attend?

I graduated from Kapaa High School in 2017 and also graduated from KCC with a Liberal Arts degree.

What made you interested in the medical field?

It was the good feeling of helping people. So, why not help people with their health?

What do you enjoy doing on your days off or in your free time?

I like to go to the gym inconsistently. Occasionally I'll bake as well, cinnamon rolls is usually my go to, and I'm trying to learn acoustic guitar too.

Do you have any hidden talents?

I can spin a rifle and do tricks with it. The rifles are demilitarized of course.

What are 3 things on your bucket list?

   1. Skydiving without a parachute. Not because I have a death wish, but it's because I want to skydive with those flying squirrel suits. Which is kind of a death wish... now that I think about it.

   2. Learn another language other than English. Maybe Tagalog or Ilocano? Yeah... I can't speak my native tongue.

   3. Buy a high quality E-bike because driving a vehicle isn't enough.

What's one fun fact that people may not know about you?

I like to sing a lot. Just not in front of a lot of people. 😅

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

Besides Japan, which I am going to soon, maybe Canada. I heard people ride moose and drink syrup there. Also for the snow.

What is one of your favorite quotes or phrases that you live your life by?

Life doesn't end when you die. Life ends when you give up.

What is your favorite thing about working at Punzal Vision?

Helping patients in areas that I am able to. I also like working with my co-workers. When we have those hard and busy days, it's easier when you work with people you enjoy working with.
