Dr. Joel E. Punzal provides quality eye care for the residents and visitors of Kaua’i. He is able to help all age groups from infant to geriatric patients. Dr. Punzal diagnoses and treats eye diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, vitreous floaters,and red eyes. Dr. Punzal is proficient in the removal of ocular foreign bodies and the treatment of dry eye syndrome.

A native of Kansas, Brity moved to Kaua’i in 2009, where she met Dr. Joel E. Punzal. It was love at first sight. They were soon married and now have three beautiful daughters. Brity is a graduate in Finance from Kansas State University. She also has a Master’s in Business Administration from Strayer University. Brity has spent the past 15 years working in the accounting and finance field, primarily in the Government sector. Five of those years were spent working abroad in Kuwait and Qatar. Born and raised on Kaua’i, Pua Cobb-Adams graduated from Pacific University in Oregon with a degree in Biology with an emphasis in Molecular and Cellular Biology and a minor in Spanish. She is also an honors graduate of The Kamehameha Schools. Pua is certified by the American Optometric Association as a Certified Paraoptometric Assistant. Pua, who has been in the eye care field since 2006, has also been certified by the National Contact Lens Examiners association and by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant. Pua resides in Anahola with her husband Erin and their five children Dylan, Kalaunuiohua, Kahanohāweo, Wainohia, and Ka’ōnohihiwahiwa. She is very involved with her childrens’ school and sports activities, and her ‘ohana’s interests include going to the beach, traveling, and Hawaiian language and culture.Email Pua Read Interview →
A dedicated mother to two sons, Ryder and Bryden, Lehua is a graduate of Pacific University and the Kamehameha Schools. A Psychology major, she has also worked as a preschool teacher while living in Oregon. Lehua is passionate about physical fitness, and she also enjoys spending quality time with her boyfriend Bryson and their boys. Karl-Anthony, also known as La’akea, joined the Punzal Vision team in early 2017. An experienced optician, Karl-Anthony is certified by the American Board of Opticianry and the National Contact Lens Examiners. Karl-Anthony, a Licensed Optician, has been working in the eye care field since 2009. His style and knowledge compliments his friendly personality, and he is a great asset to Punzal Vision. After graduating from Kaua’i High School in 2013, Tianne always knew she wanted a career in the medical field. She will be attending Kauai Community College for 2 years and plans to attend Pacific University in Oregon to further her education. Her future goal is to become an Optometrist. Growing up, Angelique always admired and looked up to her Aunt, an Occupational Therapist. Immediately after graduating from Kaua’i High School in 2017, she pursued a job as an Ophthalmic Assistant.
